I've finally completed Alpha Protocol, although there's obviously a lot of replay value. There have been a lot of games that say things like "your choices matter", but there aren't many that mean it as much as this game does.
There's a whole cast of characters that can swing all the way from close allies to bitter enemies, and even though I've only played the game one time through, I can see how different decisions would have resulted in a very different end-game scenario.
I particularly liked how the game rewarded you for intelligence gathering, as having bigger dossiers on NPCs gives you more and better options in conversations, or at least helps you better understand what kind of approach they'll react better to. I also like how the game throws multiple hot Bond girls for you to flirt/make out with. Is it fair to call Alpha Protocol a tactical espionage dating sim? Probably not, but I think I'll call it one anyway.
Ten thumbs up.
