Any writing tropes you dislike?
People ending up in embarrassing situations when they absolutely didn't have to. Especially when telling the truth would instantly get them out of the situation, but instead they make up some ridiculous lie that is obviously going to get them in trouble.
My secondhand embarrassment is off the charts. When writers do that FOR NO GOOD REASON it's not just humour that doesn't work, it's contrived, bad writing.>
