Thay makes sense. I showing love a lot of ways. I think the idea of romance is just a bit tainted for me. My wife and I don't really do much of anything for holidays, birthdays, anniversary, etc. But we do love each other with actions everyday. I don't like gestures that feel forced by an outside influence, like valentines day type vibes. To me that is just another holiday that is about getting people to spend money and every one useless things. Luckily for me, my wife can appreciate that perspective. I am very lucky. And I like to think she is as well. We are very loving. Whether or it is romantic depends on how one defines the word.

Im the past, I proposed to a woman in a hot air ballon, to be "romantic" But it was very forced. She had been having for it basically. Like yoi said, this wasnt real. And we never did get married. It was a delusional connection we had.
Intersting thing to consider. It got me thinking.
