Quantum teleportation is a process in quantum mechanics where the quantum state of a particle (usually a photon) can be transmitted from one location to another, without physically moving the particle. It involves the use of entanglement and classical communication to transfer the state of a particle from one location to another.

The process begins by creating a pair of entangled particles, one of which is sent to the sender and the other to the receiver. The sender wants to transmit the state of a third particle (the message) to the receiver, but cannot transmit the state directly due to the no-cloning theorem. Instead, the sender performs a joint measurement on the message particle and their entangled particle, obtaining two classical bits of information which they then send to the receiver.

The receiver can use these two classical bits of information along with their entangled particle to perform a quantum operation on their entangled particle, effectively transferring the state of the message particle to the receiver's particle. The original message particle is destroyed in the process.

Quantum teleportation has potential applications in quantum computing and communication, as it allows for the transmission of quantum information without the need for middleman.
