Thanks for your thoughts. I liked your piece a lot.
If it was only a question of the will to agree to disagree, much wouldn't be as difficult as it is. It seems to me that it takes a rather mature personality to be able to live with this kind of tension. And somehow maturing seems to have become more difficult, or at least, something that doesn't happen as naturally as it used to.
For sure not the only reason, but the high availability of often almost immediate satisfaction of needs might play some kind of a role.
