#WritersCoffeeClub 3. ignore writing advice? I’ve learned that a lot of craft advice is not applicable to what I write. I don’t need to “raise the stakes” for “active protagonists” when I'm telling stories about communities from other-than-human perspectives. Many tips for “good writing” are biased toward this individualistic Western mode of "apolitical" storytelling.
