Sincerly, this has been painful to watch: they say these are the future, then you shouldn't judge the current state but the concept, that you didn't get at all.
This happens every time, for example with SystemD, Wayland, Flatpak... how can the average Linux user be so arrogant to think that the Linux desktop devs are self-sabotating?
Anyway, this is just a different way to distribute the software to the end user (last step), the current packaging system will always be the base.
