Apple was sending HEAD requests, but we only coded GET routes. HEAD returns headers (a few KB), while GET includes the full file body (e.g., 100MB). We wasted bandwidth by sending full files when only headers were needed! Also we were not returning all the header data for a file like etag and last modified dates etc. We now do.",
