Fabio Manganiello (npub13uu…pvgs) iOS was purpose built: “An iPod, a phone, an internet mobile communicator... these are NOT three separate devices!” It is not a general purpose OS with these other components added, like Windows and Android (Linux) are. Windows without web components is still Windows. iOS without WebKit API is not iOS. It’s fine to want that, but building it takes years, not months.
