A bit ago I was watching The Wizard with my family and noted how they kept showing them playing games like Metroid on an Arcade unit. I thought this was just movie contrivance. Later, I was double-checking the release dates for Super Mario Bros 3 vs the movie and for the first time found out about the PlayChoice-10, which allowed a number of NES games to play on an Arcade Cabinet, and was what Super Mario Bros 3 came out on first in North America.
