It is awe inspiring to see an animal that has been around in the same form for the past 200 million years. This is from the same time period when dinosaurs lived!
Sturgeon a long lived, and can live to be 100+ years old, and reach 3+ m (10 ft) long.
While perhaps not conventionally beautiful to some people's eye, I find them majestic. It was so cool to meet this one the other day.
