OK, I need to replace a broken screen on an old Kindle. I can buy a new screen for ~$20, or a "for parts" kindle for like $9. Do I take a gamble on the parts device or spend more?
The only reason I'm considering for parts is that the outer shell of our Kindle has a crack and a parts device could also be used to replace that front piece.
