I’m pretty sure it’s native or endemic to here though, rather than introduced.
On the fungi front, your guess is probably better than mine! The springtail wasn’t eating them, but I guess they’re just satisfyingly mug-shaped fruiting bodies of some saprotrophic fungi or another…
