So when DataFarming corporations start talking about implementing ActivityPub, or building new services to be part of the fediverse, it's *not* because they want to. But because they can see where the regulatory winds are blowing. They're grudgingly preparing for a world where interoperability is normal and expected. Where not offering it is uncompetitive, if not illegal.
