When I am on a train to Auschwitz Version 2.0 for being a nonbinary bisexual socialist I am not going to blame the party that openly preaches fascism. I'm going to blame the party who enabled them.
Republicans are terrible in every way and openly say they don't care about my interests. Democrats are terrible in every way and pretend to care about my interests when pretty much breaking every promise, doing the exact same shit Republicans do, and then liberals praise them for doing the bare minimum.
The Democrats, if they listened to Bernie Sanders and the left and basically did EVERYTHING they say to do, would immeasurably make people's lives better and the Republicans would never win another election.
The Democrats are going to get slaughtered in 2024 because of their broken promises and failure to pass progressive legislation. It's going to be a bloodbath. Opening scene from Gangs of New York. The Democrats are only *marginally* better than the Republicans. No, the Democrats wouldn't be trying to make abortion illegal or trample gay and trans rights. But none of that matters one fucking bit when EVERYONE is suffering because wages are low, rent is high, people are drowning in debt, and so many people are sick and dying because they can't afford this shitty country's for-profit, insurance-company run healthcare system.
There is a party literally preaching they want to kill poor people, gay people, black people, take away women's rights, and yet the Democrats, instead of doing EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER to stop a party that wants to do everything the Nazi party did and more, is enabling them. Because the only real people either party represents are the rich.
I hate someone a lot more if they claim to be my friend and then stab me in the back - like the Democrats - than if they just admit they hate me and want me dead - like the Republicans.
