Hello, I just finished listening to this episode. I think the point you made about Bitcoin being aligned with liberal governments as opposed to totalitarian governments is inaccurate.
In an absolute monarchy, particularly, bitcoin's low time preference plays well with a monarch's need for long term control to pass on the throne to their progeny. In this sense, bitcoin, as does gold, should be able to enforce a monarch's rule. They'd have an appreciating asset that would increase in value as they'd rule for a longer time.
Yes, I realize that there are other aspects that wouldn't play well with the need to control everything. But like you said, it's money for everyone.
