not sure when the perception became that it 'does not matter' what you send to a browser but we should change that… code should be readable and clear. the code you write should be the code that runs. otherwise userland bloat and debugging woe is the outcome.
these aren't super controversial statements but they do fly in the face of the generated div soup nightmare that modern #javascript has become.
