I feel so old…
I remember when Netscape Navigator (which I'd originally switched to because it was much more useful than the NCSA/Mosaic browser) became no more – having succumbed to the pressures of Microsoft bundling Explorer with their OS. Eventually, Phoenix came out (which I and most of my peers adopted when it was still very much beta software) and then changed names to Firefox. Rendered better than IE, but couldn't use it with all of the very Microsoft-centric corporate web assets (and it was missing key features from Navigator – like bookmark syncing).
