OK, I'm beginning to think that the term "generative AI" is really badly applied. Between the Digital Alzheimer's that's going on as "AI" increasingly reads "AI" output and incorporates it into its model, poisoning its own pool as it were, and shit uses for it like this, I'm pretty sure the proper term is, in fact, "degenerative AI".
