my thought process goes like this.

I forcefully train the plants and "open" them up they dont naturally stay in that position. Thisn helps plants get more sun during veg and if I add supports to the plants during flowering the plant can focus on flower production insted of reinforcing branches. Later in the season I nuke a lot of "C" branches so my plants can focus on the better flowers.

Could be off my rocker that's just how I leanred to grow. i'm always kind of experimenting.
