I have posted this before but it was months ago and this time of year is the time I usually save and root kitchen waste to use for salads ,seasoning and summer bedding .If you leave the stumps of root veg esp carrots ,swedes and parsnips in a saucer of water they will usually root,you can plant them on for pretty flowers ,cabbages esp red cabbage have lovely and edible e leaves,celery ,lettuces ,leeks all root.I grow on spring oinions to reuse #Vegan #Gardening .#vegetables #sustainability
