I've just had a long chat with a kākā that dropped onto a tree near our letter box. 🦜
We get visits from sparrow, starlings, blackbirds, thrushes, occasionally a wax eye and one bossy pigeon. No kākā at our feeding table yet.
"Kākā consume seeds, fruit, nectar, and wood-boring insects. Kākā are seasonal feeders, eating what fruits, seeds and nectar are available."
My partner says No to inviting kākā to dine as they wreck wooden houses to get at bugs. 🐛 🐜
