we are living what James Baldwin begged of us: to simply wake up and look in the mirror as a society and country and not lie to ourselves about what we see looking back at us. So bravo to everyone trying like hell to look in that mirror and talk about it out loud. yeah we are stumbling and learning and trying and failing but we’re out here doing it! the haters really showing their whole asses letting the hate twist them into being monsters (as Baldwin called it)
