In fairness to voters, there are near-insurmountable "barriers to entry" in the "political representation" market. Most of which are deliberately constructed using state power. Trust is a larger consideration for voters than qualifications or experience, and in far shorter supply.
Elections have surprisingly few consequences for the Establishment.
Perhaps this "Representative" experiment has run its course and taught us all we needed to know.
