I do - especially early in the spring when they wake up. But I clear undergrowth away from areas where I am trying to grow new plants or get early flowers thru. My Clematis got munched pretty badly in one bed this year. I'll take it. By now it's all fairly balanced and I don't see a lot of damage.

Oh - they absolutely nail any citrus which isn't very well established... I've got some pretty dead lemons....
