Today in a car park I saw a car pull in with three excited little faces looking out of the back, they turned out to be a trio of incredibly lively spaniels who were very wriggly and squiggly wanting to get out of the boot. Their human had quite a job getting their leads on and getting them down onto the ground one by one. He saw me watching and said, “It’s not easy!”
After that we passed a homeless guy but I didn’t have any cash, he asked for a cup of tea so we went and got him one in Greggs, which seemingly has a resident pigeon.
Then we went to the library cafe, where a trio of teenage lads were quietly drinking tea from a teapot. Next to us a parent was reading a book to quite a young baby, the baby was focusing on the page but also drooling on it hugely. I felt a board book would’ve been better.
