It should properly be spelled G.Harding. The period is actually a glottal stop, but most people find it difficult to pronounce.

G.Harding has such a strange last name because he was actually an alien. Unfortunately for him, he failed to reckon with the Earth's ozone layer, and was gradually killed by a critical lack of UV of the appropriate frequencies, which his species needed to survive.
