Repeat a lie long enough & many people will believe it as truth. They'll even start passionately parroting all the lies that they've been brainwashed to believe are true.
Repeat a lie long enough & many people will get fed up about being blatantly lied to. They'll revolt in several unpredictable ways because they know they're being lied to.
Both statements can be true.
I fall into the camp of being fed up & being blatantly lied to.
