I was imagining a wallet with a self custodial balance and an e-cash balance (yeah, I know
Mutiny Wallet (nprofile…paq9) 😁)
The idea being that you can use your e-cash in bad internet areas, and use either balance when you have good connectivity. The wallet would manage the split for you.
Then it occurred to me how ironic it would be that offline p2p payments require a custodian, while online payments are the real peer to peer transactions 💩
