China's economic model has delivered (relative) prosperity via exporting; it now accounts for 20% of all world manufacturing exports.
But as President Elect Trump looks to shift the US Tariff profile to more protectionism, as China's biggest market, this looks like it may be a problem.
However, as China's domestic demand is weak (one might say surpassed), the obvious pivot is to a (Keynsian) stimulus to domestic demand... will be interesting to see if that is what is done?
