Nationally, the Republican party is undergoing a complete restructuring and a change of leadership, and thus has no cohesion. I criticize RINOs, warmongers, fundamentalist nutjobs for their behavior, but the party as a whole - the one we knew ten years ago, is in tatters. All that remains is MAGA, which is a reactionary populist movement that happens to have a charismatic leader. Within four years, he will be gone, and that will fall apart.

(Locally, I don't criticize the Republican party because it doesn't exist. My home state has been ruined by uniparty rule. As you have pointed out, I have a particular dislike for the Dem party, and this is probably the source of my bias.)

In both cases, I consider it distasteful to speak ill of the terminally ill.

The Democrat party, on the other hand, is still run cohesively by the same corrupt cabal as the last 50 years. They change their values and kowtow to wokes, progressives, communists, and white racists to keep up their power base, but they're still the same chameleons. These people are corrupt to the core, and deserve ire.

However, if you denounce those people (I haven't seen it, but maybe I just haven't paid enough attention), then I'll re-evaluate.
