It's the fact that the game has already outsold many hit games of the recent past (in a comparable period) that is important. Reviews have infinitely less impact on how suits view the success. Sales have infinitely more.

Even if some people have been deterred from a purchase (like myself), it's still not enough and the game sells incredibly well. And a wallet talks louder than a bad Steam review.
