People have been raising their voices for decades. Young people shouldn't think they're the first to start. Whoever one may raise their voice against, they don't fear voices.
Voices are just sound and smoke. Voices come and go. They are easily distracted by the next big thing. Anyway, the agenda, everything people talk about, is dictated by the mass media. All kinds of voices are already factored in and anticipated.
Social media is just there to channel these feelings and release some pressure, so no one can seriously muster the energy to change their lives. Because that's what 'they' really fear. Not the raised voices on social media, but the quietly and steadily changed personal behaviors. And on a scale approaching critical mass.
