Interesting blog. I also grow several unusual varieties. Best flavour this year was Black Cherry(Chilterns?), but low yield. I grow Subarctic Plenty every year - a good standby. I also grow something that looks like your Bliss, a good standby that came from seed saved years ago from fruit sold at the local wholefood shop. I grow in a rather shaded greenhouse (ring culture) and outside in pots.
No blight in rainy Manchester which I put down to fortnightly horsetail tea sprays.
