Most notably, these people's ideals are not only directly descended from 20th century eugenicists, but are even more radical than theirs. They don't only want to engineer "the best human" but want to create "the best" new species, and "best" being defined by them.
They don't even hide being eugenicists. Shame on MIT Tech review. I bet they would have had Nick Bostrom if we hadn't exposed him so much that even Oxford couldn't be associated with him anymore.
