I've been sat at home for two days now because somewhere in my truck is an electrical leak. We're talking about a class 8 Volvo VNL... And somewhere in the miles and miles of wiring is a leak. Now this might explain why my batteries (there are four 12V Type 31 batteries in a transport truck) were weakening. But what unwanted to do was install an ultra capacitor for the starter. That's a Lithium battery that is only used for the starting up of the 13L engine. These "batteries" are lighter (only weigh 18lbs) and have a lifespan of 1MM cycles and works in temps as low as -40. If we try to connect the ultracapacitor while the other three batteries are leaking voltage (0.5V to be precise) it could result in a very bad time 💥.

So, yeah, trucking can be very technical in case you didn't know.
