I've not read the book, so do not have much of an opinion on it or the author.

The criticism of the author makes me feel like he could be similar to Rodolf Steiner. I believe Steiner received much of his published knowledge through meditation & contemplation rather than the "science".

I believe that all popular content points to Truth which is why it resonates with so many humans. If his books are so widely popular, there must be an element of this.

I feel like the author of the article is seeking support to discredit the guy's work.

I feel like we each have the ability within ourselves to find these pointers to Truth in content. I don't need peer reviewed science & an impossible consensus to arrive at my own beliefs & feelings.

The article makes me want to see what all the commotion is about. Streisand effect?
