For both sexes, having one sexual partner is ideal.
However, with men, when they have more than one sexual partner, I forget what they were measuring (happiness, stable marriage, something like that) drops a bit, but then levels out no matter how many sexual partners beyond that.
Women drop like a rock with each new sexual partner.
