I remember when that coffee shop in Toronto told customers to "pay what they could afford". It went out of business in 12 months. That'll happen to anyone who tries the value for value model too.

You'll never get people to pay what they feel is a fair value for something they can get for less than what they deem is fair value.

Have you ever seen someone buy a product that was on sale and offer to pay more because they thought they were getting it under value? No

Let's be realistic about human nature. Value for value will never work
