RISC-V is pretty neat. They did a great job in building the ISA (Instruction Set Architecture) from the ground up in a sensible way. The original spec gives a lot of details on the choices made and why if you're interested by those things. It is also highly extensible.Adoption is still slow but hopefully we see more chipsets using the architecture.
