it can be tricky for sure! There are a few places where you can improve things, so sometimes I -
1. Adjust the black and white images, before combining, to try to eyeball them to balanced individual monochrome images with good contrast.
2. Adjust the balance of individual layers after aligning and blending but before “flattening” (I only do this for egregious color problems!)
3. Adjust color using “Camera Raw” filter after flattening to adjust WB, temp/tint!
