Comparing Scotland's GDP per capita with EU Nations, Scotland would come above France in 10th position (out of a nominal 28).
However, including our oil and gas revenue in the GDP figures this would make Scots the seventh richest in Europe coming in above Finland. Scotland is too poor? Clearly not!
