I was born in Santa Monica and spent my childhood there, and it is a shame to see such a beautiful area changing as it is. I went in 2018 and it was still beautiful, though returning in 2021 and 2022 it was clear covid psyop really messed things up, as it has most places I've been to since.
I do feel there is tremendous opportunity still for all the vacant commercial real estate and housing, hopefully the people take those opportunities and don't let it get bought up for smart city planners
