Plug printer into Windows PC. Doesn't see it.
Reboot printer.
PC doesn't see it.
Change USB port.
PC still doesn't see it.

Plug printer into Linux Mint PC.
Instantly sees it, configures it, now I've printed something.

Where the fuck did this situation go so so badly wrong? (or right, depending on perspective)
