I think socialism is a very wide umbrella. Every time I listen to Bernie Sanders, I totally agree with him. It's essentially an antidote to the US religious right-eousness: if you're not doing great, it's your fault, or God doesn't love you. A society that doesn't take care of its week is a callous society.
