In spring 2024, I grew rosemary plants from seed. This herb typically does not live through the winter when planted outdoors in my area. However, it does survive if overwintered in a hoophouse or greenhouse.
Today, these potted rosemary plants are doing well in the hoophouse. I'm planning to move them back outdoors in the spring.
Fresh rosemary is great when added to oven-roasted potatoes or chicken soup. I don't harvest it during the winter when it stops growing but I love having it on hand all throughout the summer.
