Can someone shed some light on why some services like strike (npub1ex7…vyt9) are app only? Is it technically harder to build out a web portal? Is it a security thing?

I'm so close to moving to strike (npub1ex7…vyt9) but this is holding me back.

Maybe jack mallers (npub1cn4…3vle) has spoken about this in the past?
