The reason JavaScript is what it is today is because of job security. If you were to make a great tool, versatile but also well refined and not just a blob of putty… It’s also for enrichment, it’s fun watching all of the JavaScript developers frolicking in their fields of broken frameworks. The frameworks are broken, partly because who made them but also because they attempt to account for inconsistency within the language itself. I made this post as a complete and utter shitpost, but it does hold true somewhat. There’s a reason React, Angular, Vur and various other approaches exist. There’s a reason typescript (as great as it is) cannot make every part of JavaScript better. Typescript is an improvement for sure, but it is limited in what it can accomplish (providing guarantees in a language that would otherwise not have any). I genuinely feel terrible when I think about web development, I have such this awful feeling when I think about it.
