Wow, WTF, I have an email address like john.doe@gmail.com that's eons old and somehow it's automatically the same address as johndoe@gmail.com and I've no idea since when Google did this or whether it was me somehow.

I've only noticed it because I signed in with my Google account on some website and the website registered my email address as "johndoe@gmail.com" but I did receive an email from them. And indeed I can log in to Google as "johndoe" instead of "john.doe" and it works just fine and logs me in to the same account.
