I'm not a scientist (Narrator: no kidding) but I am enough of a nerd to be following the news of a potential super conductive material. So it was interesting to read this Twitter post that tried to estimate the market potential. It's both natural and disappointing that venture capitalists are waiting to pounce and extract wealth from this discovery. Some scientists will get rich but insiders and shareholders will be the big winners.
